Good Morning
This past few days, I have talked about the Warrior’s armor, how each piece is used, and what it protects. Today, I am going to talk about preparing our feet with the Gospel of Peace which is something that needs to be done daily; there is no need to jazz it up, decorate it to fit the current day, and/or remove the things that offend others because it stands alone (Revelations 22:18-19). Wearing the Gospel is a personal decision and is not to impress others because they cannot see it. In an online article, the writer relayed a story about how she added cushion to her running shoes thinking it would help only to be the cause of her pain (Batchelder). The Gospel challenges our decisions, thoughts, and/or motives (Hebrews 4:12); when we listen to that still small voice, it will lead to repentance and be like a flowing river of joy that impacts those around us (John 7:38-39).
My encouragement for you today is that as you start your day is, you will spend time with the Lord and seek his direction for your life. When you allow the Gospel of Peace to infuse your heart with peace, you will have a new purpose and fresh bread for your life, or, “The bread of the presence of the Lord” (Exodus 25:30).
Father,
Thank you for your fresh bread today. I pray for your guidance for wherever I may go today please bless this day with Your presence. Please be with my readers that they may be blessed in their day and if they have special needs they will seek prayer over them. Into Your capable hands, I commit my day I know that You are faithful Lord to keep that which I commit to you.
