Good Morning,
When I think about “Weapons of War”, I think of incendiary devices that cause mass casualties, ships and aircraft launching bombs from great distances, and foot soldiers fighting the enemy on the ground. What I have never thought of as being a weapon is, prayer. The weapons of this world are aimed at “Peace through dominance” which is not sustainable because there will always be someone with a bigger more deadly weapon. Prayer, on the other hand, turns the tide of the battle from being on the defense to taking the offense. When we fully understand that the enemy of our enemies is the Devil and not the people we are told by our government and peer groups are our enemy, we will have victory in our lives. Because prayer is so important is the reason Paul spoke so fervently about it (2 Corinthians 10:1-6). Prayer is our connection with the Father and through it, we hear the still small voice of the Lord that speaks wisdom, courage, and strength to our soul if we would only listen to it (1 King 19:11-14). When the people wanted to force Jesus to declare his earthly throne and overthrow Rome, he didn’t try to talk them out of it, he went to prayer and the matter was settled in his heart (John 6:15).
I encourage you today that in your battle against the enemy, PRAY at all costs. My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord, these are dire times and if we do not stand firm in Him through prayer and faith we will not make it through these storms (Isaiah 7:1-9 message to Ahaz). My friends and family, I covet your prayers for this ministry that I may continue to bring encouragement to a spiritually impoverished world where right and wrong are left to “Mob rule” to decide.
Father,
Above all things, You are Holy and Just. There is no king I would prefer over the throne of my life than Your son Jesus who has the full authority of Your Kingdom to open the seals of Your judgment (Revelations 5:1-7). I pray for my nation and my world Lord as we are facing dire times beyond comprehension. If we left the decision to define our enemy to the world or mob, we’d be at each other’s throats until we choked the life out of us. When I look from Your Holy vantage point, I see our enemy stirring up the four seas to create chaos for his amusement. I pray therefore that you will empower me to write with authority to a world in need of encouragement.
