Good Morning,
Yesterday I posed a question: “What is the difference between ‘You will inherit’ and ‘” Rise and conquer for I have given it to you’”? The answer is, “You will inherit” is a future tense that is, ‘You will but the time is not right”. “Rise and conquer” is a command given to Joshua and also to Peter (Joshua 1:24, Acts 10:13-15). Abram died never having seen the promise given to him come to fruition but he watched Isaac become a man and knew that there was hope yet for the nation.
My encouragement for you today is that while your ministry is still being put together, remain faithful to what the Lord has called you to do. Understand this, ministries do not just crop up overnight without effort, time, prayer, and patience; if they do, it’s because someone else prepared the ground, planted the seed, and watered it sort of like the one that gave Jonah some respite from the heat (Jonah 4:5-8).
Father,
Above all things, You are Holy and Just. When you call us to a ministry, you prepare us for it but it is up to us to do the work. Abram never got to see his family grow in size and dimensions that the Lord spoke about but, he saw Isaac just as Simeon and Anna never got to see Jesus’ ministry on earth but they did hold the child in their arms. In the same way, Lord help me to be faithful to that which you call me to do so that in time people will come to you.

Question for the day: Why is it so important that we remain faithful even when we do not see God’s promise coming to fruition in our lives?
