Good morning!
The Lord is speaking very adamantly about getting prepared for the troubles to come. Part of the preparation is coming to grips with the laws and precepts that the Lord laid out in the Book of Leviticus; the problem is, who could possibly remember over 100 laws and precepts much less abide by all of them? The answer is, “nobody”. For this reason, we are given two “Great Commands” on which all of the laws and prophets’ words hinge (Matthew 22:34-40).
Going into the sin-riddled land, just like ministering to people who have been living on the fat of the land or, raising a family in a sinful world, requires us to make conscious decisions to honor our God which, is also not easy; if it were easy, everyone would follow it and the pathway would be wide open (Matthew 7:13-14). Because it is not easy, Jesus spoke about the ground conditions (Luke 8:4-15). If we want everything the Lord has in mind for us, we have work to do in our lives to prepare for it. For the next several days I am going to talk about “Preparing our land” through the new series “Life in the Land” (1 Corinthians 9:19-27). For now, my encouragement is this, consider what is going on in your life now and where God is leading you. This is a matter of prayer and soul searching.

Father,
You have been speaking to my heart about preparing for the troubles to come in light of the pathway you are leading me on. I pray for my readers Lord that you will help them to make wise decisions about their lives. I know this is not easy but is it overly complicated either. Please help me every day to live for you. I pray for the people in Florida and across the Eastern Seaboard as they struggle with storm damage. I pray for the people in need of a special touch from you who are dealing with steep medical issues. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you.
In Jesus’ name
