Main Verse: Joshua 10:29 – Joshua 11
Good morning!
The victories at Jericho and Ai were a calling card that the remaining nations stood up and took notice of. Because some nations had a small number of soldiers as compared to Israel, alliances were developed to present a combined front. To the nations outside of Israel, Joshua was this wise Battle Commander that the nations would love to have on staff. Joshua’s saving grace was that he never forgot who it was that won the victory and refused any adulation given to him. Although the Lord was fighting their battles and, because of it, they were certain that the victory would be theirs, the nation would have to get their hands dirty as in the case of David, (1 Samuel 17:44-47).
In life, we will face battles that we wish we never had to; some of the battles are easy while others are much more difficult and require all of the strength we can muster. Although we are children of God, we are not exempt from battle rather, we face a two-front battle one is the Physical, and the other Spiritual; The “Physical” battle is the wayward child (Luke 15:9-20), and the “Spiritual” is the courage to see it through to the end without giving up or caving into the pressure. Today in America we are facing battles that we would rather walk away from than face them. My encouragement for you today is that, in whatever situation you are facing, put your hand on the plow with one hand raised to the Lord in praise. Faith, by itself, is not enough to win a battle because faith without action is useless (James 2:14-26).

Father,
In life, we will face trouble which is a given fact (John 16:32-33); there is no such thing as victory without work nor is there a thing called “Free Lunch”. In America, we are facing the culmination of all that we have allowed either by verbal ascent or lack thereof (Numbers 30:10-16). Because of this, we are now dealing with the consequences of our actions or lack thereof. I know that you laugh at our dilemma(s) because we as a nation have not sought out your wisdom (Proverbs 1:26-30). From our brokenness Lord, we turn to you and ask for your wisdom and guidance to win the battles we are facing; I know Lord that you are a God of mercy and grace which we so desperately need in our land today. I pray for those who need a special touch from you Lord. Please help my messages always be seasoned with grace. May I always sing praise to you in storms and peace.
In Jesus’ name Amen.
