Main Verse: Judges 12
Good morning!
In scripture, we see references to the word “Enduring” (2 Samuel 7:16-17). In the English language the word “Enduring” means, “Long lasting”. For something to endure, it must be stable, transferable, built on truth, and have a solid foundation (Matthew 21:33-43). In the book of Judges, the nation wanted to live like the kingdoms that surrounded them and still receive God’s blessings. When we read the Old Testament books and see how people worshipped idols that they had made, the gods they served, and the food offerings given to them, we might be inclined to think, “Poppy Cock!” and “Sheer fallacy”. Yet are we all that much different today? No, we don’t make idols out of wood and bow down to them but we do put people on a pedestal and idolize them. No, we don’t carry our idols on our shoulders but we do put out hard-earned money to buy their products. Scripture says, “The evil will disappear” (Psalm 37:10). The Lord’s plan for the nation was that they would live long in the land” and He gave them every tool that they would need to do so in the form of laws and precepts. The problem was the people wanted the moniker “The Chosen People” but live like the pagans that surrounded them.
For us to succeed in life and still live in peace, we need to build our lives on the “Solid Foundation” (1 Corinthians 3:11-20). Calling ourselves “Christians”, “Children of God”, and/or “Bride of Christ” without ordering our lives on His word and acting on it is, counter-productive. We have been given all that we need for life and Godliness but if we do not use them, we delude ourselves (2 Peter 1:3-4). Having an enduring life in Jesus Christ is not just for Heaven but for where we are right now. God’s best for our lives is that we would live full, content, and peaceful lives (1 Timothy 2:1-7). My encouragement for you today is that if you want an enduring life you should stay in His word (John 8:31-32). The longer you stay in His word and apply it to your lives, you will learn to reject the Devil’s lies.

Father,
I want to know your truths so please help me today to apply your word to my life. When Your word is active and living in me, it will rightly divide the two (Hebrews 4:11-13). I know that sin does not endure because it is fabricated and at some point, the luster will wear off and all that will remain is dust. I pray that you will continue to empower this ministry so that lives may be saved and people will find hope in this dark world. I pray for my family, my city, my state, and the Republic of the USA.
