Main Verse: Judges 16:28-31
Good Morning!
Samson was a powerful man who was as human as I am. What separated Samson from me was that he received the “Spirit of Might” (Isaiah 11:2) all of the days that remained under the Nazrite vow (Numbers 6:21). The Lord’s goal for Samson was that he would rescue the nation from the clutches of the Philistines. Instead, he became their “Whipping Boy” until he regained his strength through repentance and prayer. Once he had regained his strength, he was by hand and asked his attendant to please put in between the two support pillars of the Temple. The sad epitaph, “He killed more Philistines in his death than he did in life.
I guess you could look at his life two different ways: “He brought down the Pagan Temple along with all of the parishioners—Yea Samson” or “What waste of a God-given gift!” Unfortunately, both are quite accurate. In the Book of Psalms, the writer talks from the Lord’s vantage point about what He would do for anyone who sets their heart on serving Him with wholehearted devotion and never losing faith in Him; the Lord’s summation is, “With a long life I will satisfy him and I will let him see My Salvation”(Psalms 91:14-16, Luke 2:25-32). Regrettably, too many of us, myself included, go in the wrong direction or throw our lives away because the sins of our lives did not pan out as we thought they would or were told they would. Is sin the final answer? No, Jesus Christ is the final answer. It is recorded, “Sins have separated us from God (Isaiah 59:1-2). Samson did not have access to the Mediator because the New Covenant did not exist at that time but when Jesus Christ descended into Hell and was Resurrected on the third day, He set those who were in prison in Hell (Hebrews 2:14-18, Hebrews 12:24-26). When we were born again, we were born into the New Covenant of Jesus’ blood so, we have no excuse for living sub-marginal lives in Jesus Christ (Romans 1:20). My brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord, I can not stress strongly enough to walk in obedience to your calling. Please don’t let convenience bring you to places you’d rather not be.

Father,
You sent Your only Son to save us from Hell’s death grip. You have so many dreams and aspirations for your children. Sadly, like Samson, we cave into temptation because we are in the place we were never meant to be. Fortunately, Samson came back to you before it was too late. Sadly, people today live marginal lives and that is just from the people who know You and are “Born again”. I pray that you will empower this ministry to reach lives for Jesus Christ and that the posts on my Web page encourage and convict people. I pray for my family, my City, and my nation.
In Jesus’ Name
