Main Verse: Matthew 27:3-10
Good morning!
Judas after betraying Jesus carried the weight of sin that if he had asked Jesus, Jesus would have forgiven Judas (Matthew 19:23-26, 1 John 1:9). Judas tried to undo his betrayal be returning the thirty pieces of silver to the Pharisees, but the Pharisees refused the coins and took no responsibility for what they had done. To the Pharisees, Judas was a pawn and a means to an end. To Jesus, Judas meant everything and Jesus would have gladly forgiven and restored Judas if Judas had asked for forgiveness. The Devil will always make the mess of our lives to be bigger and much more hopeless than it is because hopeless people will act irrationally and do things which defy logic.
Sin keeps humanity from the peace in Christ Jesus (what can separate us verse). My question for you is, “what is keeping you from the peace and joy in Christ Jesus through forgiveness leading to salvation?” if you believe the Devil’s lie, “There is no way God can forgive you because you are ‘Evil’”, let me tell you about an unshakeable Kingdom whose King is shockproof and will forgive your unrighteousness (Romans 8:33-38). My encouragement for you today is, “Let this be the day where salvation has come to live in your home to set you free from whatever hell you have been going through (Luke 19:10). If you have never given your life to Jesus, let this be a new day for you because only when you have drawn your last breath will be too late (Deuteronomy 30:15-19).
