The Keys to Walking in the Spirit

Main Verse: Romans 8:12-17

Good morning!

In the book of Psalms it states, “God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God. Also, to You, O Lord, belong lovingkindness and compassion, For You compensate every man according to his work” (Psalms 62:11-12, 1 Corinthians 3:12-15). In every instance where humanity choses to walk with the God of the Universe, the Lord establishes a Covenant with humanity (Genesis 12:1-3, Exodus 19:5-6. Joshua 24:25-27). As followers of Jesus Christ, we cherish the moniker, “Joint heirs of the Kingdom” as much as the Israelites enjoyed the name, “God’s chosen” (Exodus 19:3-6); but those names are meaningless unless we recommit daily to the established Covenant (Proverbs 3:1-5, Exodus 20:1-17, Psalms 85:9-11). So, obedience and faithfulness, although two separate actions, work together like Yin and Yang (Yin/Yang).

God’s desire for our lives is for humanity to be free and unencumbered by sin. Unfortunately, humanity is in the driver’s seat and by their choices he/she decides the path he/she will take whether it be to life through God’s righteousness or death through sin (2 Peter 3:9). My encouragement for you today is, recommit to the covenant you made on day you accepted Jesus into your life.

I.H.S.
