Good Morning,
There was once a Pastry Shop that specialized in making cakes. In this store, there were two chefs a junior chef and a Master Chef. A man came in one day to buy a cake for his wife to express his love and admiration for the wife of his youth and the mother of his children. The man looked at the different cakes and was going to settle for the cheapest cake on the shelf. So, he picked out one that was hastily thrown together with some kind of icing and the words “Happy Birthday”. Then he thought of all the years this woman put into raising the children, dealing with every indecency, and having to go without the things she needed to meet the needs of her children. Then the man thought better of his decision and chose the most opulent and extravagantly designed cake he could find, price was no object! That night he took his wife out to the best restaurant in town to make her night special. In a way, this is what Jesus does for us and what he hopes we do for others. He knows everything we go through, and he says to our soul, “Price is no object”. He not only forgives us but he also restores us by putting into us every resource of Heaven to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
My encouragement for you today is that you will look back on your life and see where the Lord has restored the relationship between you and Him. You may have walked away from His grace and found yourself in a place you would rather not be, yet He still waits for you. You may be sitting back thinking that there is no way God could ever forgive you because of the choices you have made sort of like the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24). Wherever you are in life, the Lord still wants you to come home and still has a place for you in His Kingdom. The price of grace is a broken spirit and a repentant heart which is something that God will never turn away (Psalms 51:16-17).
Father,
So many of your children are away from home today some have been hurt by family, others disappointed, and yet others who have been misused by well-meaning children of God. For these children and so many more, I pray that they will come back home again. So many people have never experienced your extravagant grace, Lord because the venue of the world offered the paltry items and they grew used to it. Help me today to share your love and grace through the use of this web page.
