Covenant and the Lord’s Design

Main Verse: Isaiah 54

For the past few weeks I have been writing and talking about, “Covenant.” Through the eyes of the Prophets, Jesus’ teachings, Psalms, and Proverbs we learned how important it is to be in a Covenant relationship with the Lord. Today the Lord revealed to me a lesser known, but the most important part of the relationship is, the intrinsic value (Proverbs 24:3-4). When you compare the Lord’s design to our lives in this world, there is a stark difference between the two which leaves us with a choice: go the way of righteousness or continue a slow, divisive, and painful descent into destruction (Isaiah 28:15-22).

When we come to Jesus Christ to confess our sins and ask Him to be our King, we are telling him, “I admit your design for my life is far superior to the life I have lived.” The Lord has never demanded, nor will He ever demand our obedience; simply, His word is a mirror to which we will either fall on the Rock and be broken or crushed by an oppressive world (Matthew 21:43-44, James 1:19-27). Walking in Covenant with the Lord is not hard, it is simple because it is made for humanity; it will transform your broken life and give your purpose for living (Jeremiah 29:11). Understand, the Lord loves you so much He offered His son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice to atone or pay for the sins that have kept you from His kingdom (Ephesians 2:1-10). I encourage you today if you have never committed your life to Jesus Christ or you are living a sub-par Christian life to chose life today (Matthew 11:26-30).
