Good morning

            The word “Hallow” means, “holy, sacred, and set apart” or “Consecrated.” The third commandment is, “You shall not take the name of Jehovah thy God in vain” (Exodus 20:7); So, the Jews would not spell out of the name of God, they used YWYH or, “The name that shall not be named” (Exodus 3:13-15) P37PP4 (MacArthur, 1986); While not saying the name is great, our words and actions tell a different story (Isaiah 29:13-14). When we come to Jesus to ask for forgiveness, we accepted Jesus as our King or, “The Lord our righteousness” we are honor bound to Hallow or Consecrate the name of Jesus as King and leader of our life (Jeremiah 23:5-6, Exodus 20:1). For comparative analysis, consider the case of David vs Saul and Jeus vs the Sanhedrin and Rome (1 Chronicles 12, 1 Samuel 22 and John 14:15-21, Matthew 19:23-4, John 18-19).

            My question for you today is, “Which king is King of your life?” To that king you owe it to yourself to consecrate that name and be willing to accept the consequences for the better or the worse (1 Kings 18:20-39). My encouragement for you today is, consider what the Lord has done in your life, that of your family and friends, the elders who have gone before you, and the biblical examples and then, plant your flag on the hill on which you are willing to die (Rivera, 2019). “To be honest, I didn’t want to believe that Christianity could radically transform someone’s character and values. It was much easier to raise doubts and manufacture outrageous objections thatnto consider the possibility that God could trigger a revolutionary turn-around in such a depraved and degenerate life” (Strobel, 2000).
